Today we're going to take a look at the Curt GM OEM puck system fifth wheel roller adaptor rails. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2016 and newer Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks that have the six and a half foot bed, and the factory rail kit installed. Now, on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show you if this will work on your vehicle. Now, this is a custom base, specifically designed to attach to the receivers in your Chevy or GMC factory installed under bed towing prep package. This base will work with the Curt hitches that have sliders, part number C16521, C16516, C16541, and C16536. All those part numbers we do sell separately on our website.
Now, the adaptor, when you do install this into the puck system, it does add about a 1 3/8 inch height compared to your industry standard rails. It does use the quarter turn anchoring system for a nice quick installation and removal. All you have to do is pop this pin and clip, that's tethered to the rail, open this a quarter of a turn, and you'll notice the tabs turn. You'll do that on all four corners, and that will allow you to drop this base right into the puck system in the truck. Once it drops in, just turn it a quarter of a turn to lock it into place. Take your pin and clip, and then just install that back in there to lock that into place, keep this from opening. Now, if you notice, right here, they do have adjustable anchors to help to eliminate any chucking between any legs in the under bed platform.
You can just tighten or loosen this nut right here, to adjust the anchors. It does have a nice durable carbide black powder coat finish on it, to help resist corrosion. Comes with the four hitch pins and clips to secure your slider hitch to the adaptor. Comes with a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to put it all together. Again, the specs on this, it's for a 2016 and newer Chevy or GMC truck with the factory installed under bed towing prep package. It does have a weight capacity of 20,000 pounds.
Basically, once you open these quarter turned system right here, drop it into your puck system, close them up, lock them into place, and this is installed in your truck bed. Then you'll notice these slots right here, this is where your Curt slider hitch will drop right in, and then using the included pins and clips attach it to the adaptor. Simple as that. That should do it for the review on the Curt GM OEM puck system fifth wheel roller adaptor rails.
I didn't want to buy a new hitch, this adapter product worked well for the puck system in my 2019 Silverado.
I had to adjust the hitch so that the fifth wheel trailer was more level when hooked up.
Very heavy duty hitch. Initially had some concerns so ordered the 20,000 lbs. instead of the 16000. Very good service from the etrailer representatives. I recently purchased a fifth wheel hitch for my new truck but wasn't sure I ordered the correct one after hitting the "enter" key! I called etrailer the following morning and found out I had, in fact, ordered the wrong hitch. The young man I spoke with was incredibly helpful - he canceled my initial order, explained what I really needed and why and then placed the order. I went on line the next day and found that the order had somehow been cancelled. I then spoke with LEAH G. She is the bomb. Mostly awesome, just a few nudges and aligning and it was good to go. Took less than 90 minutes to open the box to putting the 5th wheel on the adapter. I also had to over tighten on of the mounting castle nuts to be able to get the cotter pin to go in.

After a two years my hitch has worked to perfection. Great product.
This adapter allowed me to transfer my Curt E16 Roller Hitch from my 2013 GMC 1500 rail-mount to a 2019 Chev 3500HD with OE puck system. It raised the hitch height slightly but was easily readjusted on the E16 hitch body. I also adjusted the pinbox on my 10,000 lb trailer to compensate for the higher overall height of the 3500HD. This is a very well-made product that is working well for me.
First of all, the purchase procedure was painless and the product performed as listed. I purchased this fifth wheel hitch base for a 2018 GMC 2500HD with under the bed hidden puck fifth wheel configuration. After a few minor adjustments the base fit the truck and the 20K lb. fifth wheel hitch very well and performed equally as well. I would recommend this purchase.
The C16023 worked perfectly with my new Chevrolet silverado LTZ 2500 HD under the bed mounted fith wheel attachment. The only thing I recommend is to read the instruction before installation. It looked so simple to install I went ahead without reading the instruction and had to use a hammer to close the last locking handle. As it turns out there is a simple Castle nut and cotter pin adjustment to make. Luckily I did no damage and all went well during the installation. I would highly recommend this product.
Also etrailer.com was vary helpful over the phone helping me figure out what I needed for my truck.. They also emailed when package was shipped and when it was delivered. They have the best prices as well. A big thanks to there customer service team for all of there help.
This adapter for towing prep package on Chevrolet trucks was simple to assemble and install and I would recommend to anyone. For me, I did not mate a Curt hitch on the mount and consequently the design of the mount prevents my hitch's sliding feature from working (the slide can not be unlocked). The angle steel which is used to hold the two mounting point halves blocks one of the lock pins. I hardly ever used my slide so I am not concerned.
Very good product! Super easy to install. Took me less than 30 minutes to have my 5th wheel hitch set up and ready to pull. Only weighs 80lbs and is easy to take in and out of the bed of the truck. Shipping from etrailer was fast. This is my second purchase from etrailer. Great experience. Company very heart full.
Can not believe the condition of all items as they were received from shipping carrier. Boxes torn apart, bolts and nuts all scattered. Even 5th wheel hitch had rubber on handle cut. Found nuts and bolts on ground next to where the shipping carrier had unloaded items. Luckily found all nuts and bolts after searching area where it was off loaded from shipping truck. Even the cross brace for the hitch roller was bent.
After reading other reviews I kind of expected this however. I can't believe you would ship something like a hitch protecting in the cheap boxes used! You need to improve the packaging!
Other than that it did arrive quickly.
As always etrailer was a pleasure to work with. The box was damaged during shipping and a bag of screw fell out. One call to Etrailer and the problem was solved. Took about 30 minutes to install. (Half of that was finding my torque wrench).
The product is great and if you put the puck rails together write the system goes together easy, my only complaint is with UPS my boxes where damaged badly and some of the bolts and one hitch pin was missing. I went to the local store and they had everything I needed so I was only out an extra $25.00 for the parts, considering I got the system for a lot of money and the dealers here wanted $2500.00 to $3000.00.

Consistently wonderful. The adapter rails are a custom fit.
Very easy to assemble. The instruction should say not the tighten the bolts on the crossmember until the base of the hitch in placed into the slots that attach the lower hitch to the rail assembly. I tighten all the bolts before I attempted to attached the lower hitch to the rails and the rail slots would not alleign with the base. Once I loosened the nuts the base fit perfectly then torqued all the nuts.
Vanessa N confirmed that this was the correct puc base for our fifth wheel hitch. The product arrived promptly. It was easy to assemble after viewing the handy video and everything fits perfect. It took only about 20 minutes to assemble. We always shop online at etrailer for our product needs as they provide the best customer service and are very knowledgeable.
I bought these rails for my husbands truck as a present. I loved the fact that etrailer not only was able to show an exact fit but the photos of the rails INSTALLED on another trucked helped a TON! Also, their shipping was extremely fast! I choose to expedite the shipping just in case it wasn't here in time and it was here within 2 days... and they had a personal touch with their shipping updates with photos of the staff that was handling the item. :) I will use them again, hands down!
It works like said with no problems . I installed on a 2019 Denali 2500 HD with a work box and I have no issues with pulling a 36 ft 5th wheel .
Purchase process was easy, came in a few days and fit the truck as promised with minimal effort. My Reese hitch fits perfectly in the adaptor.
